Our Governance
KARTABYA's governance structure is meticulously designed to uphold transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making. The organization operates under a unique arrangement, with a board of management consisting of seven members who provide strategic guidance and oversee diverse thematic areas such as project management, child rights, participatory governance, livelihoods, entrepreneurship, participatory research, budget analysis, strategic planning, and policy advocacy. The governance framework includes clear policies and procedures outlined in manuals for HR, accounts, child protection, and gender equity. KARTABYA ensures compliance with legal requirements, including the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, governing foreign donations. Regular external audits are conducted to ensure fiscal responsibility and adherence to established standards. The governing body convenes biannually to monitor and guide program activities, finances, and future planning, reflecting a commitment to responsible leadership and efficient resource utilization in fulfilling the organization's mission to serve the community.
