KARTABYA, established in the year 1993 by a group of young enthusiasts who has been working towards realization of improvement of situation for poor and marginalized with special focus on Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST) and Women. Since its inception the organization has been focusing on the thematic areas such as Education, Health, Livelihood and Governance !
Legal Status
KARTABYA is an empaneled organization by Government of Odisha(NCDS) for undertaking Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for development projects undertaken by Government and Non-Government agencies .
Our Governance
The governance of the KARTABYA revolves around a unique arrangement consisting of an advisory body, Board of management consisting of seven members. The important thematic areas have functional experts drawn from the pool of professionals having experience and expertise in project management, child rights, participatory governance, Livelihoods and entrepreneurship, participatory research and budget analysis, strategic planning and policy and advocacy.
KARTABYA has its HR Manual, Accounts Manual, Child Protection Policy, Gender equity policy and the organizations governance is based on these policies. Besides, the meeting of governing body takes place twice a year to monitor and guide the programme activities and finance of the organization and also planfor the future.
